Why is Firefox using my device Sony Reader PRS-300?

Upon attempting to eject my Sony Reader PRS-300, I get the well known message "The device is currently in use. Close any programs or windows that may be using the device, and then try again". After closing all programs and windows, except Firefox, I still get the same message. After closing Firefox, I am then able to eject my Sony Reader. How I can I find out which element within Firefox is using my device? Or is it a problem generic to Firefox itself? Kind regards Mike

Did you use Firefox to download any files to that "device"?

If so, try clearing the Firefox download history. Firefox keeps track of downloaded files, especially the last downloaded file.

I cannot find any download history for Sony Reader. Direct download is not the normal use for that device.

In any case, the setting for Options/Privacy/"Remember my browsing and download history" is not checked.

Kind regards Mike

Then I am out of ideas. Maybe someone else will come up with something later today.
