New computer. Cant print from Firefox. HP compjuter and printer. Can print from Outlook and Explorer.
I just got a new HP computer with Windows 7. I am using an HP Officejet 4500 printer. When I try to print from Firefox it brings up a FAX window like I am trying to send a fax. This happens regardless of how I try to print. Going to file then print or the print button on the navigation toolbar or using the print button on the web site. If I try to print from Outlook 2007 or from Explorer 9 everything works fine and the page is printed. I would rather use Firefox over Explorer. Is this just something that MS has put in Windows 7 to force the use of Explorer?

{ Ctrl + P } to initiate printing and at the top select your printer in the Printer - Name box. Currently you have a "virtual" printer selected.

That fixed it. In the Printer Name box was the correct HP printer name but it had fax on the end of it. When I removed the fax from the printer name, everything worked fine. Thanks for the help.
ctrl P does nothing when I am in FIREFOX. It opens when in other programs; but, nothing in FIREFOX. Now what?
