window is too wide to visualize and resizing does not work. I am using windows 7 and firefox has worked well for some months it is annoying. There is horizontal scroll and it is therefore hard to use

try solution in http://kb.mozillazine.org/Resizing_oversize_window
then resize your window how you want it
then close Firefox ("Alt" > File > Exit) -- don't close Firefox by closing the Window
then reopen Firefox

I did this, and the window is smaller but the entire screen does not fir into vit

This issue can be caused by the the Babylon Toolbar 1.1.8 extension (Tools > Add-ons > Extensions).
