Firefox crash, Signature hang |
Hello,
I am currently fixing up a computer for someone. Among their complaints was that firefox crashed often, so I am going through the crash reports to find the culprit.

And?
I would recommend you try running Firefox Safe Mode as a starter, You could particularly try disabling Hardware Acceleration - Options>Advanced>General> Browsing> uncheck "Use Hardware Acceleration..."
Make sure Plug-ins are up-to-date(your Flash isn't),
Try disabling any third party toolbars.
After that you might try a new profile and an uninstall/re-install. Don't remove preferences.
Some people are going back to Fx3.6. I wouldn't. you would find it difficult to catch up and support will stop before long.
What the hell do you mean "And?"
This is the Mozilla support site, and I clearly stated I was looking to find the reason for this persons crashes using the ID.
I already did all of that, but I was hoping to find a specific cause with the crash report, not some sarcastic kid.
To get help with your crash reports, you can post the Report IDs and someone here who understands them will try to help you.
- type about:crashes in the URL/Location bar
- copy and paste the "Report ID" into a reply in this thread
- NOTE: for easier readability, place an asterisk (*) before each Report ID. This will "bullet" each Report ID on a separate line

Ah, the site I was reading had stated to put the reportID elsewhere, which I had, I was unaware I should put it here as well. Thank you.
