After upgrade to FF4 I experience a strange behavior in FF becomes not responsive when trying to fill out passwords, forms or other text-boxes. It does not depend on the site. Normally after restarting FF the problem is gone.

Please advice since this does not work well. I have reinstalled FF4 twice in order to be sure to have a good copy.

Still no answer; what a pitty. This needs to be solved or I'm forced to switch to Chrome.

I've been having the exact same issue. It's really annoying when I'm trying to work in Salesforce and can't enter into form fields. I found one workaround is to just click in another form field on the page or in the awesome bar and then back to the problem field and it will start working again

Work-around does not work for me. Have to restart FF.

I too, am encountering this annoyance. A workaround is to press the 'Tab' key. You are able to type after doing so. Still, I think it should be fixed.

What add-ons do you use? I have a theory that it's a conflict with a previous add-on that hasn't been updated for FF4.

Cheers.

Have disabled all plugins and add-ons. Will see if this is the problem. Which add-ons you are using?

I only had this problem with one website while trying to set up automatic payments, etc. After right mouse clicking in the text field I was trying to type into, I saw that the window was a Flash window and I was able to allow or deny certain things. None of those things pertained to my issue, but it did make me think to install the latest Flash player. I did that, restarted Firefox (4) and wha-la. It worked. I can type in all the fields now and get everything set up. Try updating Flash and see if that works for you.

Think it had something to do with 1password app. After updating things are going better now.
