Menu differences: Windows: Tools > Options - Mac: Firefox > Preferences - Linux: Edit > Preferences

  • Firefox > Preferences > Security: Passwords: "Remember passwords for sites"

If the password manager is disabled then the user name may be saved as form data:

  • Firefox > Preferences > Privacy > History: "Remember search and form history"

You need to remove passwords that you have already saved.
Firefox > Preferences > Security: Passwords: "Saved Passwords" > "Show Passwords"
