Windows 11 25H2 fully patched Dell laptop Firefox 158.0.1 installed from full install module to custom location

Need help with the following.

I am getting a message that firefox is trying to install updates every time i launch Firefox.

 Firefox Updates
Firefox is installing your updates and will start in a few moments

It is clearly not doing this. Firefox then opens and works correctly.

It is not updating to 159 even on computer reboot

I have downloaded the Firefox install module from your website (496KB) and this did not update to 159 either but appeared to work..

Apart from the custom location there are no other changes to firefox

and i am connected to the internet

Look forward to your answer - Steve
