I switched from firefox to ms edge but didn't like it but now cant come back as it is blocking use of desktop icons etc and at the same time I can't uninstall it

from the firefox desktop I cannot go to the selected web site nothing happens. But edge works normally I find that my memorised passwords do not work unless I use EDGE I am forced to enter the address of the web site manually but then I am not recognised as a regular client and have to my password safe but the passwords there do not match the current password for the site. Going back to EDGE removes the problems In desperation I thought I would uninstall EDGE but cannot all I can do is modify it which means refreshing it. What can I do ps I am using windows 10
