A few days ago, whenever I download an attachment from my email(Yahoo), the tab crashes after I do so. Assuming this is a Frefox issue....but not positive...has happened repeatedly since. Very annoying.

Also, upon restart of Firefox yesterday, all my cookies were reset automatically. Had to re-log in everywhere. This never has happened before, without out me manually doing this.

Any idea what is going on?

We're sorry to hear that Firefox is crashing. In order to assist you better, please follow the steps below to provide us crash IDs to help us learn more about your crash.

The crash report is several pages of data. We need the report numbers to see the whole report.

  1. Enter about:crashes in the Firefox address bar and press Enter. A list of Submitted/Unsubmitted Crash Reports will appear, similar to the one shown below.
  2. Copy the 5 most recent Submitted Report IDs that start with bp- and then go back to your forum question and paste those IDs into the "Post a Reply" box.

Note: If a recent Report ID does not start with bp- click on it to submit the report.

(Please don't take a screenshot of your crashes, just copy and paste the IDs. The below image is just an example of what your Firefox screen should look like.)

It would be more helpful if you'd read my actual post. I did not say "Firefox" was crashing. The tab for my email is closing itself when I download files. Just started a few days ago and happens consistently.

Just happened again, as had to download an attachment. Seems like the "reload page" semi-circle in upper left starts flashing...then the tab disappears....i.e. tab crashes.

This is still happening....I let Firefox update as well.....think it solved it for a bit....but today, had to download file from email(yahoo)....reload semicircle starts flashing and tab closes.

Has nothing to do with a new profile, etc. Chrome is not doing this. I don't want to switch browsers but might have to if can't get this resolved.

And just now again today...mail tab closed all by itself. Anyone?

I do not run any "protection" measures or cookie programs. And, nothing changed....this just suddenly started happening.

Just happened again today....managed to not happen yesterday.

My guess is it has to do with ad integration in the page...but that's just a guess.

And again now....going to have to give up on Firefox soon.

Completely agree, billybgame, having the same issue. We need an answer!

And again.....if I have downloads to do, I may as well just open another browser. Don't really want to, but downloads on Chrome do not close my mail tab. Obviously a Firefox issue, or some sort of integrated ads issue.

Edit: Yet another Firefox update was called for, so figured why not. I then downloaded some files from email...the "refresh" icon was flashing again....but tab did not crash this time....I recall same happened before for a day or two, before the tab started crashing again. We shall see.

That didn't last long....first few downloads went ok....tab crashed again....does Firefox even monitor these forums?

Still happening with seemingly nothing being done to fix this

This still happens every single time I try to download files. Hate to give up on Firefox but that's only browser it happens with. I have to open another browser to download files otherwise my tab crashes.
