May I archive all messages of an account, delete that account from provider, access all of my former messages without having them synced, thus erased? How? Than

I can' t try it and risk to see all of my messages disappear. I want that account to disappear from the web. (mail server was breaked in, accounts compromised, the provider keeps saying "it' s not my fault" and I' m tired to hear people saying that I' m spamming them). I have many mails (too many to select manually) that I' d like to keep. Thank you very much, Danilo

Copy them to Local Folders in Thunderbird.

Then they are yours to keep, stored in Thunderbird and independent of any servers.

And then you can delete or close the offending account.

Spammers using your email address doesn't necessarily mean that your account was broken into. Accordingly, it doesn't mean that closing the account will stop spammers from continuing to use your email address. So please don't expect the spamming in your name to automatically stop.

Thank you Zenos for your interesting. I understand spamming probably won' t stop, but I can write everyone I know to blacklist that account and that it doesn' t belong to me anymore. That will solve the problem to a fair extent. Thanks again
