I get audio distortions in firefox. They are clicking noises. This distortion does not present in other browsers. Is there an effective troubleshooter for this?

Addendum: I have tried lauching in both safe mode and default reset, yet the problem persists.

Is this with the HTML5 media player or with a Flash based player?

Does this only happen with sound files or with videos or with both?

Does disabling hardware acceleration has any effect?
