I will begin by saying that I am aware that the Google Toolbar is no longer supported under Firefox. Having said that, I would like to report something that changed starting with FF 31. Up until then, when adding a bookmark to the Google Toolbar bookmarks, an "Add Bookmark" dialog would open that listed the url and a default name for the bookmark as well as a pull-down that would allow me to select an existing label (folder) to place the new bookmark in. Under FF31, this still works, but the problem occurs when I select a label from the list. Instead of putting the label name in the dialog, it leaves it blank. To complete the Add Bookmark process, I have to manually type the label name into the dialog box and click OK. My gut feeling is that this is some kind of autocomplete or auto-fill issue.

Again, I am not so much asking for Google toolbar assistance as much as asking if anyone has any idea as to what changed in FF31 that might have contributed to this function. For instance, some new option (or change to the default for an existing option) that might be getting in the way. I went into about:config and did a search on "complete" or "autocomplete" and there were a number of configuration items containing those terms, but nothing that stood out.

I appreciate any help that anyone might offer. Fortunately, everything else in the Google Toolbar continues to work and this issue is relatively minor. But I didn't think it would hurt to ask.

The Google Toolbar was last officially compatible with Firefox 5.0, in June 2011. I patched it a few time to keep the features that I used "alive", but by Firefox 10 I quit using it altogether.

There are two places (that I am aware of) to see what was changed in Firefox 31. https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/Firefox/Releases/31 https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/31.0/releasenotes/

Or go thru the FIXED Bugs List for Firefox 31 to see what you can come up with.
