Trying to send a mass email and it continues to say mail server responded: unrouteable address. Then another widow pops up and says check connection etc. How do I fix this? Can I not send a mass email with Thunderbird?

Your list of email addresses contains dud email addresses. Clean out the rubbish email addresses and you will have no issues.
