I perform this action many times a day. Yesterday I got a message from Thunderbird that I needed to delete emails from my inbox file, and I deleted a number of large emails, and now I no longer get this message. But now my inbox will still not refresh, and I must refresh Thunderbird each time I delete an email. What can I do to make this an efficient process again and restore the ability to delete emails without having to refresh Thunderbird each time?

I have just upgraded to Thunderbird email 128.3.0esr (64bit) nebula and in this latest upgrade cannot cut and past anything.

If I copy and past either using the mouse, drop down menu or CtrL keys you appear to be able to copy but when you paste nothing happens.

This occurs from within the email or trying to copy / paste from other emails or external text.

Any help or ideas you can offer me.

I am experiencing a strange behavior in syncing with GMail. Some emails in TB are not displayed correctly. I see the header but not the content (Image 1). In GMail on the browser all the content is displayed (Image 2). Sometimes the emails contained in a folder (label in GMail) are not displayed in TB.

At the moment I do this to solve it: I move the email/folder to another location. Then I bring the email/folder back to the original location. This seems to force the sync and allows me to see the content of the message and all the emails inside a folder (label).

Is there a way, a setting or a fix to ensure the correct sync between GMail and TB? Thanks

I have several accounts in the client.

Suppose it acc1@mail.com and acc2@mail.com.

Also acc1@mail.com installed somewhere else with another user.

When I receive letter from acc1@mail.com to acc2@mail.com and press "Reply to all" button while acc2@mail.com is active - I'm getting acc1@mail.com in the field "From" but it should be acc2@mail.com.

When i delete acc1@mail.com from installation everything works as expected.

Checked twice settings in outgoing server options - each client has it's own settings.

I received on 2024-09-25 about a dozen messages from various senders in my Thunderbird mailer from the University of Calgary mail system, around 2 p.m. and at least 50 emails in about a 12-hour period starting on Sept. 19 at about 2 a.m. that had recognizable sender names and subject lines as well as time and date stamps, but were either replaced by text from emails sent years earlier or corrupted (encoded?) in some way. For example, the email below was supposed to be from "Physics and Astronomy general announcements" on 2014-09-25, 2:15 p.m. but note the date in the header. This corruption of new emails is happening at irregular intervals, and I would very much like to know why and how to stop it from occurring. It seems to me that there is replacement of the contents of new emails with old, possibly compacted, email contents, if that makes any sense. Emails read on my account at the University of Calgary webmail system shows no such corruption, so it appears to be a problem on my Thundermail mailer. Look I like to use Thunderbird as opposed to a clunky Microsoft system, so

any help would be appreciated.  Thanks for your attention.

I was away from my computer for a few days and when I got back to it and tried to download emails, they wouldn't download even though they had done so prior to my absence. I have tried everything to get it to work to no avail as per "help" advice on community support - nothing has worked as yet. I am now at a total loss and extremely frustrated. Could you please give me some practical advice as to how to sort this out. I believe I have the latest update installed since the program tells me I do. I use Windows 11

Here it is again: I had a folder named Documents where I used to store important emails, receipts etc. I believe that after compacting the emails my folder disapeared along with 90 % of the content and now I have a new folder named Dolcuments 1 which I did not create myself. Can some one tell me perhaps how can I recover my previous folder ? and NO the repair option for the folder doesn't work.

And I can see emails on spectrum web mail/RR but can't download them. When I try to download I get more of the same (junk/good) emails? Any Idea's please

I have restarted the app, the OS, safe mode, reinstalled the app -- nothing makes a difference. The email are displayed correctly on other machines running other email clients.

Hello. This happened back in July and I got on Mozilla but never got an answer that worked so I am trying again. Back in July, a friend of mine who has a pizza shop asked me if I would go onto Google and write a review. I said sure and went onto Google, logged in and wrote a review. From that point on, I had a problem with getting onto my Thunderbird account without having to log onto Google first. No, I had never had to get permission to go to my Thunderbird account and suddenly that changed when I logged onto Google to do that review. If I want Google, I can log onto Google, but I do not want them to be controlling my access to Thunderbird. Someone gave me a list of things to try and I did but none of them did the trick. I have a handicapped child so things like this can get a low priority but I am going to try again. Thank you, Philip

I've always put most of the information in the description field, and I use the calendar primarily as a diary record of my life and things I need to keep track of, so this is a major downgrade in terms of usability for me. Is there any way to still search the description field?

I have been having a problem for several months now in Thunderbird. When I Unsubscribe to newsletters, emails, or offers (can be anything from items I buy to political spam), I am directed to an Unsubscribe page. I unsubscribe, yet I continue to get the emails from these companies and people. This is not one company--This is ANYTIME I unsubscribe. I tried repairing my Inbox and that didn't work.
