It is Wed., Oct. 28 at 6:15 p.m. Eastern time (New York time). My bookmarks and bookmarks toolbar are gone following the most recent Firefox update. I understand it's because Firefox has launched with a new default profile - I've have tried to launch the alternative profile that Firefox has for me in "about:profiles" and it's not showing my toolbar either. This is REALLY a drag - and figuring this out is a bit beyond my tech capacities, or the available time I have to get things back in place. Can someone please clue me in on the easiest way to get my toolbar and bookmarks back?

Tried for over 2 hours to recover my open tabs with no luck and of course, no support here. Kept sending me more and more articles to read but nothing was helpful. Had to switch browsers today as every email I tried bounced back as undeliverable. When a company sells a product and then they don’t want to help their users when they need support, I don’t do business with them anymore and they tend to get back reviews on Trust Pilot.

Hello everyone, I'm trying to recover the tabs I had open in my old Firefox installation on Windows 10. I had accumulated many tabs that I wanted to keep, and I'd really appreciate some technical advice before giving up on recovering them. Here is my situation: My previous setup - I used Firefox on Windows 10, which was installed on a 500 GB SSD. - I believe I was signed in to my Mozilla account, although I'm not completely certain. - I had many tabs open that I would like to recover. What happened - I moved to a new Windows 11 installation on a separate 2 TB SSD. - I deleted the old Windows 10 `Users` folder on the 500 GB SSD. - Afterward, I ran a full H2testw write/read test on the 500 GB SSD. - I installed Firefox on Windows 11 and initially used it without signing in. What I've tried - I located Firefox session files, including `previous.jsonlz4` and `recovery.baklz4`, but used History Scrounger to determine that they belong to my new Windows 11 Firefox installation. - I have since signed in to my Mozilla account and can see browsing history from before the Windows 11 upgrade. - My current Firefox Sync settings show that synchronisation is enabled and that Open Tabs and History are included. - I also have Linux Mint installed on the 2 TB SSD, but I only started using Firefox on Linux Mint after setting up Windows 11. My questions: 1. Is there any way to retrieve the old Windows 10 session or its open tabs from my Mozilla account or Firefox Sync, even if the original Windows profile has been deleted? 2. Does the presence of old browsing history in my Mozilla account indicate that any additional session data might still be available? 3. Are there any other places where Firefox session data might have been preserved? 4. Given that I ran a full H2testw test on the old SSD, is there anything else worth checking before concluding that local recovery is no longer possible? I understand that browsing history and a saved session are different things. My main goal is to recover the actual collection of tabs that was open in my old Windows 10 installation, rather than simply reconstructing it from browsing history. I'd appreciate any suggestions for further investigation. Thank you!

I keep running into an issue where my group of saved tabs disappears.

I will make several groups of tabs. When I right-click and press "save and close group," to shut down my laptop completely. There are many times when I return and try to access the saved group of tabs using the drop-down arrow at the top of the browser; all the saved groups will be gone.

Normally, I find them under "Recent Tab Groups". There have been many times when they are completely gone. Is there another way to find these groups of tabs or are they disappearing completely are a certain amount of time has passed?

My app crashed and I don't have my current password saved so when I reinstalled the app on my laptop I can't get into it or access my bookmarks/saved passwords to accounts.

Hello. After my last upgrade (v158.0.1), all my settings, saved passwords and bookmarks are gone. I tried to see if my old profile was still there, but there are two empty ones. This happened last week on Linux and now it happened again on Windows. Please tell me there is a way to recover it. I had some important stuff. I was a Firefox enthusiast, but after this I'm changing my mind.

i turned the machine off last night as normal. turned on this morning and you had signed me out... why? i had all the pages open i needed and everything was normal. i eventually after not getting answers else where signed back in after a typing error.. but i cannot restore last nights session what is or was the problem im back in but something doesnt feel right

I have used the jeffersonscher scrounger before and it worked well. I get the jsonlz4 file from the session store backup folder and it generates all of the text that does not have what I need. I click the scrounge urls' and it just sits saying processing forever. This is probably 200 tabs but will it take this long? I have a good pc. Using the older version it just comes up with results of "window" and no url list.

I was having trouble with Firefox, so I decided to reboot it. Upon going back in... not a single tab remains. I've already tried workarounds found here. I tried this one: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1536989 Restarted Firefox. No tabs.

Upon searching for help here, it said to go into "History" and "Restore previous session." That doesn't work, either. It's not a choice. It's grayed out.

Where are the tabs, and how can they be restored? Not a single one to be found anywhere. Firefox may as well have stopped working completely, because it's totally useless without the tabs.
