I have multiple duplicate "Other Bookmarks" folders populating my "Bookmarks" folder. I can't seem to get rid of them. Any solutions? If I delete one folder will all be deleted? Windows 10, Firefox 140.0

Not sure if its Accessibility or Performance and Connectivity but when trying to buy it causes lots of problems Can someone please make the change or tell me how to. Thanks Ken

Hello! I am an avid user of firefox (especially with adblockers) on a windows 11 PC. Unfortunately, I have recently been experiencing an issue where when I attempt to open firefox, a window will open for a split second before instantly closing again. My PC is up to date, I have tried refreshing firefox and doing a clean install, but cannot seem to overcome the issue, or even open it in safe mode. Does anyone have any advice? I would like to start by expressing my deep appreciation for the Firefox browser. I truly admire the values Mozilla stands for, especially regarding user privacy and open-source development. Firefox is fast, secure, and beautifully designed — and I would love to use it as my primary browser.

However, there is one major challenge that prevents me from doing so: extension compatibility. Many of the tools and extensions I rely on for my daily work are either not available on Firefox or do not function as they do on Google Chrome.

I understand that Firefox has its own extension ecosystem and architecture, but I sincerely hope that your team could explore a way to bring full compatibility or at least broader support for Chrome extensions. This feature alone would make Firefox the perfect browser for users like me who value both productivity and privacy.

Thank you for all the hard work and innovation you bring to the web. I look forward to seeing how Firefox continues to evolve.

when i open firefox (including opening a new tab) my CPU peaks at 100% on all cores for a few seconds. this is without any pages loading and without many heavy extensions (all i have is malwarebytes and dashlane)

My firefox browser crashed last week. An IT expert uninstalled it and re-installed it and it is working ok. But when I try to buy goods online my stored card is being rejected but I don't know why. Can you help please?

After recent update, I can not browse any addons. The site https://addons.mozilla.org does not open, shows the connection timed out. I uninstalled and reinstalled firefox deleteting all firefox related files. The problem still persists. Other than this all the using browsing I do are all working fine. Just this extensions I cannot browse. When I click the extension icon by default it shows some extensions, I can Install them. The problem is I can not browse them. Even the recomendation tab is also empty.

PS: I am using firefox on manjaro linux.

Hello, after a power cut I lost all my bookmarks. When I try "Manage Bookmarks -> Import and Backup -> Restore -> Choose File..." nothing happens.

In the folder ".mozilla/firefox/6924v31j.default-1728390329118/bookmarkbackups" there are several backup files, but the newest has the date Jun 25, though the name suggests it's from Jul 2: -rw-r--r-- 23850 Jun 25 13:07 'bookmarks-2025-07-02_184_mg1znof1NbBiyJ14ZcO9SluvTvLZI-rxPSm20YZUJww=.jsonlz4'

In the directory ".mozilla/firefox/6924v31j.default-1728390329118" there is also places.sqlite from Jul 4 11:59 (that was the moment when the power was cut).

How can I restore my bookmarks?

In Chrome, for example, if you type "maps" in the address bar, it will autofill to "maps.google.com", which then redirects to the correct URL, "google.com/maps". Initially, it doesn’t do this, but if you do it repeatedly, Chrome eventually learns and sends you directly to that URL when you type "maps". The same happens with "gmail" or even just "gm", which redirect to "gmail.com" or "mail.google.com". Does Firefox have this kind of feature?

I think I browsed a reddit thread from a few years ago asking this same problem having something to do with autofill frequency which doesn't work, because the actual url is not, in the example of maps, maps.google.com and the url I want to enter redirects to it.

I have Firefox on 4 separate devices (Windows 10, Windows 11, Linux Ubuntu derivative x 2).

For the last 2 weeks, every time I open Firefox, the recommended stories are active. I go into settings, turn off the setting and it behaves correctly for that session. However, when I open Firefox on a different device, or the next time, recommended stories are showing once again. I like and want a clean, minimalist interface, and expect Firefox to honour my settings.

My mail checker extension isn't working right in Firefox. Extension Link I was able to find an error using Developer Options but I don't know if the error is even related to the extension or if it is even useful. If anyone would help me, I would be very grateful.

When i create an account in blue named AK-M AK-M will not appear on the screen- There i find instead "Neuer Tab" ... How to solve this Problem? Thanks for any hints. Josef Schwendt

HI Mozilla, I have recently purchased a new laptop and am setting up my desktop icons. I have the latest version of Firefox on both the old one and this one. also Windows 11

On the old computer (which I set up 18 months ago and still works) the desktop icons show the website logo. The correct logo appears for any newly opened websites for which I set a desktop icon.

On this computer all website desktop icons show the Firefox logo and not the website logo. This happens whether I drag the address or the lock symbol. I can change the icon using the inbuilt menu, but this is tedious and I would prefer them be the correct ones.

The correct logo appears if I right click on an app in the start list and drag it to the desktop.

Consequently I think the above is a Firefox problem.

I have been using Firefox for some years very successfully.

I do not like the function of opening last page I was on when restarting firefox. I use a program to help eliminate my browsing history. foxfire brings up last page I visited and ruins the work. I have un-checked open last page but it does not help. The program cannot get to something in firefox to erase my history. I like firefox but will discontinue use If I cannot resolve this issue thank you, I am very frustrated.
