I have installed firefox in my laptop for years. after latest update, firefox runs just fine only for the 1st time, then after closing the app / restarting the laptop, firefox keep giving error (attached) I have tried to refresh, run troubleshoot mode, uninstall and reinstall again at one point I was able to recreate the issue only after reinstalling firefox 126.0.1 portable version and then syncing to the profile ( run ok for 1st time, then it broke down after closing it) The problem also seems repeatable using firefox 115 protable Now, I tried to reinstall the portable version from scratch, it keeps hitting same error from 1st run

I have also double check the firewall and antivirus to make its not blocking All other browsers works just fine

The behavior began with fifteen to twenty crash messages appearing. After which the browser would stop responding and be unable to reach out to the internet.

Network connectivity was confirmed as I was able to access my VPN and corporate teams.

I submitted as many crash reports as I could. Eventually the crash reporter ceased to function. The message is:

Firefox had a problem and crashed. Unfortunately, the crash reporter is unable to submit a report for this crash.

Details: expected value at line 1 column 1

Only a full reboot of the machine restored functionality but only temporarily. It returns after being put into sleep mode.

Running firefox in safe mode does not restore functionality. The behavior persists.

I am fully up to date according to firefox.

I am running a Lenovo Thinkpad Windows 11.

when I sign into Goog/setting/2 step, the page does not show "app passwords." I've turned off my ad-blocker extensions and pop-up blocker on the page. See attached.

How can I check what is being loaded on my computer with my browser Firefox when I start up Firefox. It takes too long for my homepage to load compared to other browsers. Can someone help so I can determine what is being loaded when I start up my browser Firefox? Thank you.

For months, now, whenever I try to post a comment on a Yahoo! News article, it reads: "Your comment has failed to published." This only happens in Firefox. My "Privacy & Security" settings are set to "Standard," my "History" set to "use custom settings for history" with settings "Remember browsing and download history" and "Clear history when Firefox closes." so cookies and cache get cleared then.

Sometimes this works when starting a new session. But I shouldn't have to start another session and lose all of my logins just to post a comment on a Yahoo News article.

Anyone else having this problem? Is there an easy and permanent fix? What are you settings set at?

I am experiencing an issue related to the Vanguard anti-cheat system used by Riot Games, specifically in relation to League of Legends. After installing the game and Vanguard, I am unable to open Firefox. When I try to launch Firefox, nothing happens. However, if I change the name of the firefox.exe file, I can start Firefox on a different profile, but it only works for a short period before becoming unresponsive. None of the options or tabs respond after that.

Could you please provide assistance on how to resolve this issue?

I am trying to add an mp4 video to my website using the following code:

where ### is the name of the video file. I get the following error message:

"No video with supported format or MIME type found."

In the console the following is displayed:

"Media resource http://127.0.0.1:5502/images/###.mp4 could not be decoded. video.html All candidate resources failed to load. Media load paused. video.html Media resource http://127.0.0.1:5502/images/###.mp4 could not be decoded, error: Error Code: NS_ERROR_DOM_MEDIA_METADATA_ERR (0x806e0006)"

Runs just fine in Chrome and I have no pop-up blockers installed. Autoplay is set to be allowed for all websites.

Windows 11 version 23H2. Firefox version: 126.0 (64-bit)

I did post this before, and Paul replied (thanks) but he didn't suggest a solution. When I add bookmarks to the Firefox Focus home screen, those icons are cut off, so the label is very difficult to read. If this is a bug then I reported it earlier to Bugzilla, but if it is not a bug then how can I fix it, please? Thank you.

When attempting to install a "clean" verison (delete old, install new) I get an error message about using the firefox removal tool. Where do I get it and how do I remove the old one and install a newest version?

Firefox does not allow website to access my location even though I keep allowing the website to access my location. I select the allow button and also did this both with and without the box checked to remember the decision. I also go into Settings - Privacy & Security - Location settings. I allow there. Nothing helps.

More than half of the websites are broken when viewed in Firefox now E.g. theguardian, youtube. It takes way too long to load and most of the time it's only part of the page. The same websites work on Chrome and Edge without any issue.

And then I try to upload screenshots (.JPG) to this form and it doesn't work?

When using amazon the login and page load times are excessively long. More often than not I can open MSN, load amazon, login, and find what I'm looking for before Firefox has completed signing me in or searching for an item. This is not a once in a while problem, it happens every time with amazon, some times worse than other times. Ive deleted and reloaded Firefox, cleared all history and tried as many other things that I could find online to try, none of which helped.

Opening messenger was not a problem in my firefox. But recently i cannot access my messenger anymore in firefox. Everytime I try to open messenger it crashes. But I can use messenger in private window. Can please someone give me a solution for this problem.

I have recently been getting an error message when I open Firefox saying "The bookmarks and history system will not be functional because one of Firefox's files is in use by another application. Some security software can cause this problem". This has been happening since I clicked on a mail in Mail to unsubscribe from a spam/phishing mail list, which seemed to result in me installing Firefox Private Browsing, which I had never subscribed to. I have tried uninstalling Private Browsing but there is no way of doing that. I have even uninstalled and then re-installed Firefox completely but I still have the same problem. Because of the problem I have now lost all my bookmarks and history, and am unable to create new bookmarks and history. I have been on the help forums and seen that I can Disable Private Browsing by going through my anti-virus (Avast), which I have not yet tried because what I would really like to achieve is uninstalling and not having Private Browsing on my Start menu, rather than simply disabling it. Anyway, would disabling it solve the bookmarks and history problem ? Can anyone give me the solution ? Thanks. As you may gather, I am not very techno so you would have to give me the idiot's version of any instructions or advice.

I would like to further secure my passwords but don't want to have to enter the primary password every time I start the browser. I would like it to only prompt me if a password is needed. I can go days without needing a password to be entered and open and close Firefox every time I use it. It gets tedious. Thanks!

hard drive failed on windows 10 pc, new drive put in & window 10 reinstalled with Edge browser (by experts) What do i do to get firefox browser as my main browser back with all my bookmarks etc & firefox VPN ?

Do I just download firefox installer & sign on & all bookmarks etc will be there?

The settings window opens automatically when auto fill is used. Each time I click on the pre-fill bar on a webpage, the settings window/menu opens automatically. How do I stop this from happening? (but continue using auto fill). Thank you
