Hi Mozilla Support, I’m running into a recurring issue on Firefox for Android when watching videos. Whenever I have a video playing in one tab (HLS or DASH streams) and I switch to another tab for a few seconds, returning to the original tab causes Firefox to freeze or reload the page entirely. What I’ve observed: The video player freezes or shows a black screen when I return to the tab Sometimes the tab reloads on its own and the video restarts from the beginning Happens on both Wi-Fi and mobile data Tested with multiple streaming sites, including our own (https://xupertvhd.co) app’s web player Clearing cache and disabling add-ons didn’t resolve it Using the latest version of Firefox for Android I’m trying to understand: Is this a known issue with Firefox’s background tab behavior or media playback engine? Is there any setting that prevents Firefox from suspending or unloading media tabs? Would enabling “desktop mode” or changing the media hardware acceleration setting help?
