On this last update from firefox, I cannot go to any websites through firefox. I can open a new tab, type in a website, and click enter and it just refreshes a blank page.

I have tried clicking previously visited websites, clearing the cache, deleting firefox, and I even tried it after i migrated to a new hard drive (completely fresh install).

I am using Windows 7 x64. Chrome and IE seem to work just fine.

I think in some cases, this may be caused by an incompatibility with Network Access Manager / ForceWare Network Manager (both from Nvidia). If you have that software, could you try uninstalling it from the Windows Control Panel?

Some problems occurs when your Internet security program was set to trust the previous version of Firefox, but no longer recognizes your updated version as trusted. Now how to fix the problem: To allow Firefox to connect to the Internet again;

  • Make sure your Internet security software is up-to-date (i.e. you are running the latest version).
  • Remove Firefox from your program's list of trusted or recognized programs. For detailed instructions, see

Configure firewalls so that Firefox can access the Internet. {web link}

Do you have nvidia's network access manager or forceware network manager software installed? Disable / remove it.

It was the NVIDIA Network Access Manager. Thank you all for the fast response! This was a new problem for me.
