Thunderbird (current version) freezes each time an email is closed and when it does so, it freezes the entire computer. Computer: MacBook Pro 16"; Tahoe 26.2. The freeze last for 2-5 seconds before it releases.

I'm a retired IT Tech and supported MS Outlook with Exchange for years. Lately I've tired of the constant bickering between Google and MS that just seem to make using Outlook at home difficult. I've been working on Migrating from MS Outlook to Thunderbird v147.0.1. I had a large PST file with Saved Items and it's been a struggle to process all that but finally got connected to Gmail, converted/imported the PST items and then began working on Calendar. Finally got all that working and I'm now having trouble getting Google Tasks connected to Thunderbird. Google doesn't seem to be exposing the Tasks feed via CalDAV. Has anyone run into this before and does anyone have any suggestions to resolve? Thanks.

lost emails from thunderbird working thunderbird this afternoon & it jus just wiped out all my emails every one it even deleted some local folders is there any way of recovering these emails thanks for any help

Suppose I see 10 incoming emails on my server (core.com). In thunderbird, when I click to download them, I see a message saying something like "downlaoding 10 emails". After that only 2 or 3 of them have been downloaded, the rest deleted. Help! This started happening a couple of weeks ago. I have tried downloading and re-installing Thunderbird, to no avail. Should I change my account settings?

J'ai pu récupéré tous les mails effacés ( plus de 800) en employant la méthode de X-Mozilla-Statuts: 0000. Mais bizarrement ce mail frauduleux manque à l'appel dans la période indiquée. Updated Thunderbird and lost all my local folders and address lists. I imported CSV addresses to new version and can view them but when I go to use them in an email they do not show up. How do I access them?

Hi there, Just installed Thunderbird email. I have Original HTML in Thunderbird settings, not changed anything. How do I resolve this? I appreciate your help

My contacts address book is provided by Apple iCloud, of which I have added contacts with avatars for every contact I've received legitimate emails from. However, Thunderbird fails to render these avatars. The result looks like the attachment. Perhaps Apple is using HEIC for them?

Hello, sometimes memories pop up that I want to stop repeating. The button for this is “close” or "close all" in German. But the popup menu doesn't disappear. That bothers me a lot. I can't say at the moment whether only the dates from the addresses are affected.

Hi, With new version 1.143 all accounts are gone, need to re-create my existing mails accoutns (outlook, yahoo, gmail) but all fail on error message "www.mozilla.org uses an invalid security certificate" How to resolve ? Grtz, Jane

Update: Apologies, seems it was my mistake. While setting up the signature in the first place I *did* pick up a named anchor from a template <a name="_MailAutoSig">. It was buried in the generated HTML, and I have now found and removed it. Problem, such as it was, now solved.

Is there any way either to remove the yellow anchor symbol which Thunderbird inserts in front of my signature, or to tell the client not to display the symbol? I didn't put one in the HTML signature that I use. There's no "remove named anchor" command. It isn't related to the double -- marker, which I've already removed using config. I have no use for anchors, which for me are simply a visual distraction.

Thunderbird is so good in many ways (calendar synch is great - one of my major bugbears with Outlook - also recipient privacy when sending out group invitations) and it can be quite frustrating in some others (e.g. unwanted features that I've had to dig around in config in order to turn off)

In Advanced Preferences there are multiple mail servers listed such as "mail.server.server18.hostname". There are at least 18. I have not been able to download messages for 3 weeks and can't figure out why. I have used Thunderbird for many years. Sending email works. Email provider is Shaw/Rogers

Is there a way to get checkboxes to select messages or at least a plan to get it in a future release? I saw that there has been an add-on in the past, but not maintained for some years and therefore not possible to use in newer versions. Yes, I know that you can select messages with ctrl and mouse click, but there are others in my family who are not familiar with it and reluctant to get used to it. (have used gmail for too long).
