My Thunderbird will not connect to the Comcast/Xfinity email account with the same settings that Outlook connected to and downloaded all my emails and my inbox structure. I believe this is either a battle between Comcast and Thunderbird or a big glitch in this application, My Gmail, Outlook365, work fine in Thunderbird, not Comcast. This started about a week ago. Has anyone found a solution?

[DESKTOP VERSION] The font display size in the email composition window is at least 2 'clicks' smaller that what is actually displayed in the received email. When writing an email I need to do a double Ctrl+"+" in order for the text to be easy to ready. When I read the sent email (sometimes I need to send emails between accounts - I have 14 between my business domain and my personal domain), the text that I entered is the proper size. I can easily see this because of the graphic image in my signature, which is the same size in the composition window as it is in the received email. See attached composite graphic.

I have two accounts hooked to thunderbird, my work account that uses google workspace and my personal gmail account. Today, my work account went totally crazy, and it's loading emails in my inbox at a snails pace. Meanwhile, my personal gmail account loads fine. I did literally everything. I deleted and restored the accounts, then I deleted the Thunderbird app and all the library folders on my mac that had thunderbird (maybe I missed some?) Then I reinstalled Thunderbird and connected everything again. Same result. Personal Gmail imap works great. Work gmail with google workspace is incredibly slow and won't load in my inbox.

Before reinstalling i did everything, cleared cache, compacted folders, changed to not have messages stored locally. What could I be doing? Is google workspace imap having trouble?

I installed the latest Thunderbird version last week, is this a version update problem? After a full reinstall of everything, I'm totally confused now. I've gone through my settings 10 times and spent 8 hours on this today. I used chatgpt to guide me and try different things. I'm stumped, please help. I'm a donor that supports Thunderbird!!! On my PC Thunderbirds sending/receiving mail says the mail server refused my connection. My laptop works fine. I have duplicated my laptops in/out specifications onto the PC but still nothing works. Spectrum says everything on their end is fine but can't vouch for roadrunner who is the rr in my mail address of ca.rr.com. All this started about 4 days ago. Any ideas on what to try next? Thanks.

I looked at the helps and found the answer to my issue BUT it didn't work.

The issue - I want to copy information from one address book to another book. The help told me to use CTRL then click and drag to copy. I tried but it didn't work. When I click on an address to move or copy it, as soon as I move the cursor a red circle with a diagonal line through it shows and it doesn't move it to the new address book. I am using windows 11 and Tbird 140.7.1. I've done this in the past - years ago - but now I can't figure out how to do it. Earlier in this session I was able to move an address by doing click and drag but I can't even do that now. I also rebooted my computer and tried again with the same results. I'm sure it's OPERATOR ERROR but I don't know what I did or what to do now.

I don't want to manually copy each entry. What do I do?

Thank you for all that you do with this program and all of MOZILLA! I've been using it for years and have only this issue with Tbird and some site don't work well or at all with FIREFOX so I go to Chrome for that specific

Hi, I recently installed Thunderbird (POP account type), but it only downloaded about 3000 emails and then stopped, even though I have a lot more emails I would like to archive. It's been about 2 days since no more downloads have occurred. Ive got no way of knowing if it's a temporary pause or what the issue is.

I installed Thunderbird to archive my emails as I intend to delete some older emails from google work space to clear up space, but I want to still have an offline archive of these email.

I inadvertently deleted a mail sub folder named Shopping Oder Confirmations I found the folder in my acronis backup and copied it to my desktop I then pasted it in to the profile window of thunderbird in hopes that when i restarted it would show up in my mail folders which it did not I can send you screen shots of the different windows where I dropped the folder Can you help please?! I have Mozilla Thunderbird and I find that some emails particularly with attachments (but not always) disappear from my inbox after a few months and I can't find them by doing a search under the sender's name or in my inbox.

As an example my most important emails come from 2 sources. One is an accountancy practice and the other a property management company. Those from the accountancy practice are nearly always missing after a few months but those from the management company rarely are.

If I carry out a search on the accountancy practice name, nearly all of the emails in the list are ones that I have sent and the only way I can find a particular email is to look at the trail before my email, but by doing so there are no attachments with their email. If I then look at the date of their email in the trail and then search for the date in my inbox, the email isn't there.

I have a dozen other folders that appear like this with the letters/numbers at the end. When I delete them they reappear next time I open Thunderbird.

Are these folders corrupt? 
How do I eliminate them ?  
How do I stop folders from reappearing?

I have a relatively fresh install of Thunderbird and am unable to save email addresses to my address books. When I click "Add to Address Book," I'm receiving the following error message:

- TB menu > Help > Troubleshooting Information

- click the Application Basics > Profile Folder 'Open Folder' button

- close TB and rename the folderCache.json file to folderCache.jsox

Restart TB and the list should be gone. Note this will also remove the list from the R. click > Copy To list.

I already have a folderCache.jsox file ... renaming it leads to file being unusable. '
