Firefox keeps shutting down and it will open up when I tap on the icon. I have to reload it to make it work, It seems like I have to do this everytime I shut the pc.

What have you done to the Settings feature? It's a mess with those weird little icons on the side. I am just trying to figure out why my tabs keep closing on me. I can have about six tabs open with intention of going back to them, and then..poof.. they disappear. I went into Settings to see what I might have changed but I can't figure this out.

When I try to login with my Firefox account to configure Sync, I get a message that says that I am logged on to a different profile and asks if I want to switch. If I switch, I get the same result with the other profile. There is only one profile folder in the Profiles directory, there are no other files or folders. What should I do?

unable to get Download Helper to initialize in my Firefox browser. i have checked and rechecked so many things. how can i fix this so i can dl videos from the internet and watch them?

So I got myself into a pickle again trying to move my ffox tabs and bookmarks to a different pc. I knew there was something I didn’t like about sync so I avoided that. Until I was having problems transferring my tabs and bookmarks and I relented. Mistake. I had to sign in, not sure why I wasn’t already signed in or why I was signed out. It moved over my tabs fine. But somehow I ended up with some strange list of bookmarks that must be from months ago. If I am stuck I guess I can resurrect what I had although I am not happy at all with this mess. Any way to get back to what I had? It has messed up both the new pc and the original one now. I happened to find some files called session store backups that if that is any good for history those are only for tabs which are fine anyway. Any idea what to do or am I screwed?

You asked for feedback, so here it is. Most annoying bugs to me are: 1. Text search does not work. The word exists on the page, but text search can't find it 2. Uploads fail. For example, when I upload my game to steam I need to use chromium, because Firefox fails almost all the time

okay firefox crashed ive been using it for 3 years on steam os . it ussually crashes normally if that makes sense but this time it went poof . it saved one window containing all my browse history bookmarks dverything , i succsessfully transfered the crashed windows to kate windows containing 2.1 megabytes of extremely important data - riht before it crashed again. i am extremely frustrated , it erased all knowledge of me ever being on firefox erasing history bookmarks log ins everything. it is extremely imperative that i get these windows back . ive been battling with ai to fix the problem my last resort is you guys the ones who made firefox. id like to think you guys built something for this exact occasion . please help, you are my last resort and i would be overjoyed if you can help , thank you ,

The instructions for changing country in built in VPN do not work as after clicking on icon it states open VPN and nothing happens to open it. I am trying to set France as my country.

Sure enough, the HTML bears corresponding URLS with cid: schema. I have just moved from an old laptop to a newer one - a Lenovo Thinkpad. I have installed Linux Mint and successfully transferred my files and Thunderbird. I also synchronized Firefox and all my add-ons, bookmarks and history came across perfectly. While setting up the toolbar from the customise screen I dragged the home page button onto the toolbar and it just disappeared. The home page is set up in settings. It appears the first time I open a window. I would like to be able to go back to my home page at will, how can I re-instate the home page button?

The new "Copy Link to Highlight" button shifted the "search with" option down, which I use regularly.

I'm not entirely sure what the new option does, but I would like to either disable it or shift it further down out of the way

When my computer starts up and launches Firefox, the window is small and requires me to click on the full screen button. Before this it was opening at half-screen. Before that it was opening at full screen, which is preferred. I cannot get it to open in full screen despite all of the suggestions from this community. It's super-annoying. Why is this happening? What is the fix?

I am a novice and have not modified any code, but have added the extensions Duck Duck Go, Last Pass, Facebook Container, and Clear Cache. I have used these extensions for years and the problem is new. My problem must be a setting because I have not lifted the hood of Firefox or the OS and tinkered with it. Nor do I want to.

I tried to login to Autodesk for some discussion about file retention, etc. I logged in using my user id and password and then Autodesk sent me a code as a two factor identification function. When the page opened the place to enter the code it looked like the image that I have attached. I could not enter the code supplied by Autodesk as FireFox kept trying to get me to do something with email masks. Is there anything I can do to fix it?

I can't log into my Google account using Firefox. Can log in on Chrome using the same device so I don't think the device is the problem. It was fine until about an hour ago. When I attempted to click on a YouTube tab the tab closed. Any attempt to log in redirects me to a Google support page about deleting my cache and cookies. Which I've already done multiple times and I still can't log in.

It is been like 6 or 7 months now since i move to new pc and i been using firefox in this new pc together with other browsers. I am not really using firefox for anything related to google or gmail but just other website that have 0 relation to them. But i have still logged in my main accounts in firefox. It is been twice that once in a while, when i have to check my gmail accounts, all of them disappear and all i see is just sign in page only. There is no log in again or Please log in to this address or that address but straight up fresh page of google sign in page. I still logged back in when it first happened because i heard about the bug that happened with firefox update but now it happen again. It is as if my cookies just vanished but no, other sites still got their own cookies and there is many cache of other website here. other than my google accounts. What is happening here. Is my firefox bugged or something? Should i reinstall and have to relogin everything "again?"
