I am back again with the same issue that I presented on the forum post three months ago. https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1594903?utm_campaign=questions-reply The difference is now it is happening on Firefox v157.0.1;everything else is identical. Qubes os R4.3.2 with Firefox 157.0.1 in a Fedora 44 xfce VM. To recap I open one window for Proxmox Datacenter Manager and as soon as I click to sign in Firefox completely disappears. I can open this in Chromium browser and Firefox ESR v.140.17.0 esr perfectly fine. Please consult the original post for all I did to troubleshoot this. I am working with the esr version now but would like to help put this issue to bed. Community members stepped up last time to help me so I am here to do my small part for others. I realize that Windows 10 is no longer supporting but I tried to get into my regular searches and no longer am able to do it. It appears that Firefox is not my browser any more. What can I do? I need to get a new computer but have not yet done so and am limping along

What the living hell is this? This is prevalent on every PC I've installed FF. Just starting a clean browser with a single tab use 19GB of RAM within 1 second... No wonder why browsing been excruciatingly slow since the previous update.

Yes, I use add-ons like 90% of the users, but that should not warrant a serious and consistent memory leak.

I think this started 1 or 2 days ago, after a Firefox update. When clicking on a bookmark and using "open in new tab", anew tab isn't opened. The wanted bookmark page just replaces the earlier screen, and no new tab is made.

Hello, I installed the Firefox 158.8 update on my iMac (macOS Sequoia 15.8.1) today. All websites are working as usual, except for Amazon Prime Video; it loads once and then freezes. I can't perform any actions on the page—everything remains unresponsive. I can't enter a different URL in the address bar or reload the page, either. The only thing I can do is close the page. I’ve cleared the cache and disabled ad blockers, but nothing changes. Strangely, this doesn't happen with Firefox on my MacBook. What could the problem be?

The whole point of the container tab colors is to be NOTICEABLE and instantly recognizable so you can find what you're looking for EASILY and assign new tasks to the correct grouping. I'd ask whose dumb idea it was to remove the colors from the tabs, but everything is apparently slop coded now. The icons are also now stupid, too washed out to be helpful, and I want the WHOLE TAB to be the correct color, not that stupid tiny line across the top. Do the slop-jockeys actually use this software? Because it appears either they don't, or have no idea how people work in real life. These are useless.

How do I recover the normal additional toolbar in firefox that shows options for maps, images, videos etc. This toolbar is no longer shown on firefox - perhaps it's because firefox has recently been updated and no longer gives that facility?

Updated Firefox browser for desktop on Mac to 158.0 on 10/15/26

On 10/14/26 using previous Firefox version 157.0 on Amazon.com Prime Video section, pages would load properly and videos could be played properly.

10/15/26 using updated version on Amazon.com Prime Video section, page would initially load properly only to later freeze. Videos could not be played. And freezing could not be corrected unless closing the tab on the browser.

10/15/26 using Safari browser on Amazon.com Prime video section, pages loaded properly and videos played properly.

Clearing cache and site data on updated version of Firefox did not have any effect. Pages continued to freeze and videos unplayable when starting over and navigating to the relevant pages.

Steps to reproduce:

go to amazon.com login to account go to prime video page

expected results video selection appears and user can select and play videos

actual result video selection appear but freezes after a second or two,. videos cannot be played

Environment Variables Firefox 158.0 Mac OS GoldenGate 27.0.1

Other information Other amazon pages like whole foods and home page and Subscribe & save not affected Just Prime Video page affected

Bonjour, j'ai perdu beaucoup de temps aujourd'hui car mes onglets ont disparu sans savoir pourquoi. Je les ai tous recréé mais en fermant Firefox, les onglets ont de nouveau disparu. Qu'est ce qui se passe? c'est très irritant. L'option de conserver les onglets est activée, mais il semble que votre browser est complétement instable en ce moment. Pouvez vous m'orienter rapidement vers une solution? c'est vraiment pénible comme problème
