Since the newest wave of firefox updates my icons on startup are gone. When i click new tab they show up again or when restarting the page. I tried reinstalling firefox & changing icons with no help. The previous update before 141.0 had no issues. I tried searching around and didn't find anything helpful. Anyone else have this issue or know of a fix?

I am getting exhausted with Firefox changing my configurations when updating. I always turn off automatic update for all software I use. I even turn off Windows updates. These updates always break something I regularly use and offer me little if anything that improves my experience.
Recently, the update modified my configurations to allow automatic updating. So I had to turn that off. A recent update removed the simple "!gm" shortcut to Google Maps. I had to create a new shortcut for Google Maps so I could type into the URL bar something like "!gm Missouri" to get the map to display. It wasn't displaying before this and returned search results like "General Motors". Ugh.
Can't Firefox stop updating my configurations and making life difficult for me?

I joined a Microsoft Teams meeting through Firefox on the web on a Linux machine. When I tried to share my entire screen, I was asked if I wanted to share the entire screen in a Firefox pop up which I said yes. Then the "you are sharing your entire screen" came up, the sharing icon was red and the "stop sharing" button was red. See attached image. This all disappeared and reverted to the default state almost instantly.
Teams has a feature to "manage what attendees see manage what attendees see" where the meeting host can preview shared content before making it live.
I am concerned that the meeting owner was able to see my entire shared screen without me even knowing it through this preview.
Can someone help? Microsoft just sends you around in circles and I can't contact Mozilla.

THE ISSUE: When opening Firefox, (Attachment #1 - below) appears. Seems to have nothing to do with any reality . . . as when I check in SETTINGS (Attachment #2 - below). 1. So, who's telling the truth? 2. How do I stop the popup (Attachment #1) from making it's nagging, inaccurate appearance?
Thank you / Nels

when I go to icloud.com to view and download photos and all my icloud stuff on my phone, I can no longer sign in using firefox. I turned off the shield security but no help. There used to be a pop-up that let you enter the code apple emailed you so you could access your icloud stuff on the web. Now there is no place to enter the code they send you. I enabled pop-ups too, but that didn't work. Help! I need my photos! And I use that site pretty much constantly-

So I recently had to reinstall windows, and all the things in my C drive, including firefox, and ever since, things have been acting wonky. For some reason, when I go to specific websites (gog.com, amazon.com, etc) a few seconds after I go to the website on a new tab, a new window pops up, this one acting like a fresh install of firefox (No customized toolbar, no extensions, not signed in on any sites or into firefox) and it has this strange blue border around the whole window (See attached image). This happens on literally every page of these websites, so if I close the new window, go to view a product, or a game, or anything else that takes me to a new web page, it opens a new window after a few seconds. I've been looking for a reason for this, but google was no help, nor were the help articles for firefox. Any help would be greatly appreciated, this is driving me crazy.
Edit: Apologies, it was an addon that was doing it for some reason, despite never doing it before. I'd delete this question if I could.

I've been tasked with removing Firefox from all Windows workstations in our enterprise environment. Our users don't have local admin, so when they install Firefox, it is installed in the user's profile.
I've just installed Firefox 143.0.1 in my own user profile for testing purposes. However, when I attempt to uninstall, either from Control Panel or by running %localappdata%\Mozilla Firefox\uninstall\helper.exe manually, UAC prompts for elevation, even though I installed without elevating.
Is this a known issue? If yes, is there a workaround?
Thanks!

I erased my iPhone and reinstalled Duo afterwards. There is no problem with the notices Columbia U sends to my iPhone to complete a Columbia sign in. This appears to be something new (or never noticed before) after my MAC OSX upgrade to 26.
Can't tell who's problem it is but it's annoying. Have to try other browsers to know if it's just firefox.
Any insights would be appreciated.
