I can't sign into my RBS Digital Banking page using Firefox. The display flips back and forth uncontrollably from Login page to Are You still Here? page. Login via Safari is as normal .. but Firefox is my preferred browser.

yesterday I got quite a scare. While Firefox was open, a new tab briefly appeared showing the page about:processes, and immediately afterwards the browser closed itself on its own.

At the same time, Chrome was open in the background. When I clicked on Chrome, a prompt appeared asking whether I wanted to allow changes to be made to the system (the typical UAC prompt). However, I’m not entirely sure if this was actually triggered by Chrome or possibly by another application.

I clicked “No” on the UAC prompt and immediately unplugged my keyboard. I recently started using an ASUS ROG Falcata, which is connected via USB.

After that, I ran a virus scan with Windows Defender — it didn’t find anything. I also ran AdwCleaner, which also came up clean.

At first, I suspected the ASUS ROG Falcata (I’ve only been using it for a few days), since it’s almost like a small computer itself and can execute macros, patterns, etc. I was worried about a possible firmware bug or something worse. At the moment, I’m honestly hesitant to plug it back in and am using an old Dell keyboard instead.

Importantly, I wasn’t pressing any keys at the time of the incident.

Now I’m quite unsure what could have caused this.

Is there any way to trace this in Firefox (e.g., via logs)?

And is there any (event) log where I could check what triggered the UAC prompt?

One more thing I noticed: I shut down the PC afterward and turned it back on later that evening. Everything booted normally and is still running fine today. However, Firefox updated itself yesterday from version 148.2 to 149. Maybe that was somehow related (though there’s no indication in the Firefox update history that anything failed or similar).

After performing the most recent Firefox update, I was greeted with the "create a new profile prompt", rather than having it open my old one. When going to "about:profiles", ALL FILES in the Root Directory of my old, default profile have the same date as the update, or after. Not a single file is older than that and all my history and bookmarks are gone. The option "Restore Previous Session" was not shown after the update.

PLEASE HELP!!

PS: This happened on a Macbook Pro. All other profiles are the same as they were before the update, having kept all history and bookmarks.

For the last few weeks I have been unable to save new bookmarks into the folder of my choice. Instead I can only save new bookmarks into the last folder I created. I cannot navigate to a different pre-existing folder. This problem only occurs when using Firefox on my Android cell phone, but not on my PC. However, I can still view and use all of my previous folders and bookmarks when wishing to open a new website, per usual. Thank you

I want to know why DeTrumpify has been blocked. I use it to block Trump because he is toxic and I don't need that in my browser. So now the very tool I use to block all that hate has been blocked for being hateful? Mozilla, grow a back bone already! And leave my extensions alone! I'll decide what is hate on my device. I don't need a scared corporate nanny to do it for me. Pathetic. DO BETTER!

Once FF upgraded to 150.0 a local webiste Jira for bugs does not work for Drag and Drop of file into the window... It tries to either save the attachments to my desktop or open them in new tabs... this defeats the purpose and creates extra steps

Default homepage is yahoo. Since the update to version 149, if I do a search from yahoo, the new tab that opens with the search result is blank most of the time. I have to click reload for the search results to show up.

Is anybody else having that problem? Seems to be yahoo search specific but not 100% sure.

My personal laptop was being repaired, and I was using my mom's old laptop until mine was fixed. I logged out of her Mozilla account on that laptop and signed into my own. Now that I have my personal laptop back, all of my passwords, bookmarks, and extensions are mixed in with all of hers. I don't know what to do, and I'm worried that if I remove bookmarks from my account, it'll create a domino effect that results in a catastrophic Mother's Day.... Please help, I'm not good with technology, I'm just a geology major.

I am interested in purchasing your Mozilla VPN. I need this to work seamlessly with the multicontainer extension. When using multicontainer profiles and the mozilla VPN, does it allow to choose different server IPs for different profiles at the same time?. I ask this because my current provider does not do that. When I install my current VPN extension, it automatically uses the server IP that is logged on the PC VPN porgram. Please clarify this for me before I pay.

I can't open the link in a new window as I have to click on a tab and when I right click on the tab it only gives the pop up box that says "take a screen shot" etc.

I tried "allowing" the website for pop-ups but it still didn't work. I don't know what to do now.

I want to delete Preview Links. I tried going to Settings>General>Browsing, however, there is no "Browsing" section. I have a Linux Mint. I do NOT want Preview Links. Thank you.

I use Linux Mint and I have been experiencing numerous system crashes involving Firefox which requires a cold boot. What is the problem? How can I debug this? Are you getting crash reports?’

This happens several times a week. It has happened continuously tonight since installing the latest update via the Software Manager.

The program causes a total freeze of the OS. All other running programs and all input sources. I have no choice but to shut down via the power button on the tower.

Mint generates crash reports but I have no way to determine if they are being sent to Mozilla.

Firefox for Linux does not provide a troubleshooting system like it does on Windows. Neither does Mint.

I studied Computer Science in the 80s when Firefox was known as Navigator. I learned C and the Unix OS, but since then I became a psychologist, and don't remember too much of the Com Sci stuff I learned and I don't think Mint allows user modifications anyway.

What can be done to fix this? I don't have the Benjamins to buy a new Windows to replace the Linux, nor do I want to.

It's checked in settings, the US english language pack is installed, I did the about:config thing as well and it's still not working. Oh yeah, also used troubleshoot mode - turned off all addons - and still doesn't work.

after i turn on location in settings, i keep getting a notification that my shared experiences needs fixing and i need to put in my PIN every time. but if location is off, i stop getting the shared experiences problem.

When will FireFox VPN be available in South Africa? I've always used FF and really like the way it works. I'm a pensioner (retired head of Cybersecurity) and appreciate that your offerings are free. However if i wish to make a contribution how do i do that? Kudos to everyone!
