Hi, I recently set up TB with one imap account. All fine. I set up a Local Folder as well - mainly to store bulk of old mails.
Then after couple of days, when I sent a message, the system warned me: "your message was sent, but a copy could not be placed in "Sent" folder" due to network or file access issues. Place a copy in local folder instead?"
I recognized, that also, while my account/server seems to connect, no emails at all are fetched from the server actually.
I think there's a strange problem TB internally with ... file access? How to repair?
UPDATE : I checked my TB profile folder, and found the "ImapMail" folder's properties (Win10) showed "read-only". So I closed TB, removed the "read-only" from folder and contents, and restarted TB. But issue persisted. I went back to "ImapMail" folder in my profile - and found it marked "read-only" again. So seems TB itself set it to "read-only", it seems.

I can't get messages from my Thunderbird account. When I click "Get messages" nothing happens and it usually says "Done" on the bottom left corner. I have to use my domain's webmail account to get my e-mail and it only allows me to read it and delete junk.
I really would love to have my Thunderbird account working again as soon as possible.

I have been trying to filter out and delete emails with certain URLs in the HTML section of the body of the message.
I can get the Body filter to activate and delete the email if I send the specified URL within a simple text message. So the Body filter can activate on sequences in the text part of a multimode or simple text email.
It doesn't, however, seem to activate for the thing I truly need, which is to see a URL (or other sequence) in the HTML part of a multimode. It appears to ignore the HTML section.
Would it be possible to either:
1) allow the current Body filter to scan all parts of a multimode message? OR
2) create a new filter, perhaps named Rawbody, or Raw, etc., which doesn't break down and separate the parts of a multimode first, but simply does a raw scan of the entire body: text, HTML, and all?

Thunderbird Email - I am not receiving emails from my energy supplier (E.ON Next) - they say they bouncing. This started around Jan 25. I have spoken to them many time but no joy. E.ON receive emails I have sent to them and I am able to receive emails from just about anyone else eg shop, banks, contacts, etc etc . Can you help me fix this/explain why it is happening? I have 2 email addresses linked to Mozilla Thunderbird: kurtj1942@hotmail.com and kurtj1942@gmail.com. I can receive emails from the Hotmail account, but I cannot send. From the Gmail account, I can both send and receive. Why can't I send from the Hotmail account?

I asked sender to use secondary email and they come through. I’m very concerned that I’m missing important messages and need to get this corrected quickly. Please help if you can. Can anyone please help me? I use Thunderbird email and for several weeks now I have been able to receive emails but not to send them. At first outgoing messages were refused with the messages "rejected by outgoing server." The outgoing server is PlusNet. I sought help from PlusNet and after several days they told me the problem was connected with their migrating email business to a third party, but was now solved. For a few hours I was able to send messages, soon reverted to the situation where incoming messages are received but outgoing messages are rejected. This time the rejection messages say "rejected due to internal server error." But surely, PlusNet IS the outgoing server? I give up. and PlusNet is hard to contact, they don't seem to accept emails anyway. So can any other TB user advise me, and am I the only one with this problem? PeterB
