Hi,

Currently I realized that with vb 4.2.1 that if i click on "Edit" on my profile or on a forum post or a thread, i don't see the quick reply editor, i get instead redirected right away to the advance full editor page. Quick reply doesn't load.

This happened right away after I upgraded to Firefox 24.0 It is also been reported by our members forum.nihonomaru.com

On Chrome this issue doesn't happen, only on firefox latest update. It is also been reported by many of our members. I use the latest FF version 24.0

Is there a way to fix this?

I did disable my plugins going safe mode and still the same issue. Also on vb i did disable the plugin and did everything Vbulletin recommended and still the same issue. So it is been determined that it is the latest Firefox 24.0 release. Before, Firefox use to work fine with the quick editor.

Thanks, Rina

Hey, You can try the reset fire fox feature!

To Reset Firefox do the following:

  1. Go to Firefox > Help > Troubleshooting Information.
  2. Click the "Reset Firefox" button.
  3. Firefox will close and reset. After Firefox is done, it will show a window with the information that is imported. Click Finish.
  4. Firefox will open with all factory defaults applied.

Further information can be found in the Refresh Firefox - reset add-ons and settings article.

Did this fix your problems? Please report back to us!

Thank you.

If it happens again then you can try some basic steps like these:

Reload web page(s) and bypass the cache to refresh possibly outdated or corrupted files.

  • Hold down the Shift key and left-click the Reload button
  • Press "Ctrl + F5" or press "Ctrl + Shift + R" (Windows,Linux)
  • Press "Command + Shift + R" (Mac)

Clear the cache and cookies only from websites that cause problems.

"Clear the Cache":

  • Firefox/Tools > Options > Advanced > Network > Cached Web Content: "Clear Now"

"Remove Cookies" from sites causing problems:

  • Firefox/Tools > Options > Privacy > Cookies: "Show Cookies"

Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance).

  • Do NOT click the Reset button on the Safe Mode start window.
