Does syncing delete bookmarks?

Specifically, I sync between two PC's. I'll call them "computer A" and "computer B."

Thank you. I'd like to know...If one chooses "Sync Now" from one's Firefox on computer A, but one had, before thus syncing, deleted certain bookmarks from this Firefox on computer A, does that mean that those same bookmarks will, correspondingly, be deleted from the Firefox on computer B (which assumes, of course, that the Firefox on computer B already had those very same bookmarks)?

Put another way, perhaps, I'm assuming that syncing not only adds bookmarks, but deletes them as well. Is that right?

I think your question is answered here: How do I set up Sync on my computer?

You can choose how your data is synchronized when you create your Sync account and whenever you add a device. When you set up Firefox Sync, click the Sync Options button at the bottom-left corner of the setup window to select one of these options:

  • Merge this computer's data with my Sync data (default; recommended)
  • Replace all data on this computer with my Sync data
  • Replace all other devices with this computer's data

Thanks. I think you're right about that. When I get home, I'm going to do some tests between the two computers to determine if this is the case.
