Cannot Get Moving Profile to Alt Drive to Work
Hope my frustration doesnt show. I have insufficient space on my C: drive and trying to move my 31GB profile to my D:drive to free up space. I tried to follow several methods. First I found the location of the profile on C: and copied it to D: and changed the path for local storage. It continued to look at the C: drive. Perhaps I needed to change the .ini file but couldnt figure out how to do that. Then I tried using the profile manager and created a new profile on the D: drive as a default, but while it created 147 files in 30 folders, no PROFILE folders and presumably no place to copy the original PROFILE folders. Now when I start THUNDERBIRD, it appears to want me to do an initial setup because it does not see the old profile information. I need help and embarrassed that I cant figure this out. How do I get this to work and recover space?
