Firefox is slowing my computer to a snails pace. Your "help" page said to go to about:config. I don't know where to find about:config. Your software doesn't say where to look for it or a place to look for it. Your help is no help at all. I don't have time to look at forums that in my 25 years of using computers I have never found an answer to a problem I have had in forums.

Hi Michael

Thank you for your question. You should not need to open about:config for this, but this support article should help walk you through some suggested solutions:

I assure you my computer has more than enough memory to look at a settings window of yahoo account. There is no reason this would require 10 of 16 gb of ram to accomplish nor would it require a majority of 3.40 GHz process to, again, look at a settings page on yahoo. Restarting anything will not help either. You people have earned your reputation.

What Help page are you referring to as this might be instructions for an older Firefox version ?

What security software do you have in case that is causing your problem?

Boot the computer in Windows Safe Mode with network support to see if that has effect.
