multiple firefox in windows task mgr using too much resources and only one firefox open
It is ridiculous in my opinion, one firefox open however the resources and if I shut some of these down firefox closes all together. Windows 7 OS, 8 gigs ram all win updates current, I keep my pc in top order (at least try to) I don't know why this is happening, how do I fix it? I mean mayb e it is not a bid deal not sure just as I said one window open and all that running. Thanks also even though I might find a fix trying to learn, why does this happen?

Is your system having problems because of this?
More than one process is normal for the current Firefox. http://www.ghacks.net/2016/07/22/multi-process-firefox/
Multi-process Firefox is codenamed "e10s". https://wiki.mozilla.org/Firefox/multiprocess
You can modify the multi-process settings to see if this has effect.
- you can reduce the number of content processes to a lower setting (current default is 8)
Options/Preferences -> General -> Performance
remove checkmark: [ ] "Use recommended performance settings"
See also:
You can see these Firefox processes running.
- one process for the main Firefox thread (user interface)
- one or more content processes, see:
Options/Preferences -> General -> Performance
remove checkmark: [ ] "Use recommended performance settings" - one process for the compositor thread
- one process for the WebRender when this feature is enabled
You can find the current multi-process state on the Troubleshooting Information page (about:support).
- "Help -> Troubleshooting Information" -> "Application Basics":
Multiprocess Windows
Remote Processes

hmm thanks I will try those tips, however not sure if it is true or not, I read an article someone else posted that since mozilla is quantam version that from quantam above the e10's aren't there or this doesn't work because of quantam version older versions methods work with e'10's is this true?
