Firefox's Bookmarks toolbar gives you quick access to often-used bookmarks. To check if Firefox is in Full Screen mode: #{for win, linux}Press {key F11}{/for}{for mac}Press the keyboard shortcut {key Control+Command+F}{/for} to exit Full Screen mode. #Move the cursor to the top of the screen. If the toolbar appears, Full Screen mode was likely the cause. ==Check if the Bookmarks Toolbar is set to {menu Only show on new tab}== Sometimes the toolbar is set to appear only on new tabs. To check this setting: #Right-click an empty area of the toolbar or tab bar. #Hover over the {menu Bookmarks Toolbar} menu and select {menu Always Show} from the displayed options. ==Restore default toolbar settings== A custom configuration may be hiding the toolbar. To restore the default toolbar settings: #Right-click an empty area of the toolbar or tab bar. #Select {menu Customize Toolbar…}. #Click the {button Restore Defaults} button in the bottom-right corner of the window. #Click the {button Done} button. ==Restart Firefox or check for updates== An outdated or corrupted session may prevent changes from taking effect. ===Restart Firefox=== Close and reopen Firefox. ===Update Firefox=== To check for updates: #{for win, linux}Press the {key Alt} key. In the menu bar that appears, click {menu Help}{/for}{for mac}In the menu bar, click {menu Firefox}{/for} and select {menu About Firefox}. The ''About Firefox'' window will open. If an update is available, it will be installed. #Click the {button Restart to update Firefox} button after the update is installed. #If Firefox is up to date, close the window. ==Check extensions or themes that may interfere== Some extensions or themes may affect toolbar visibility. To check installed extensions: #Click the Firefox menu [[Image:firefoxmenu]] and select {menu Add-ons and themes}. The Add-ons Manager (''about:addons'') will open with the ''Extensions'' panel active. #Disable extensions one by one to check if any of them is causing the issue.
