hello, could you provide a crash-report id, like it is described here? this would make it easier to diagnose the issue. you may also try updating to firefox 13, that was just released and see if that is already resolving the issue...
The crash report just had this number:
1338911782
Here is a link to my report. It says it happened in 11, but I ran the report in 11. It happened in 12.

does the crashes occur immeadiately on startup? please also try running firefox in safemode once to make sure that your extensions don't have an influence in it...
Hi madperson,
I am scared to reinstall it. It crashes my whole mac... One time the crashed happened, the crash destroyed the directory of my back-up disc AND I had to reformat my HD.
I do believe when troubleshooting I did launch it in safe mode and it crashed my imac anyway. If it was just firefox crashing I wouldn't mind running tests, but My whole mac crashes and I get that horrible gray screen telling me to restart my computer. I will try again with the next update of firefox... 12.1 or what ever it will be. : )
I need this Mac for work, so I can't reformat my HD again. It takes about 6 hours to reinstall the system and the programs I need for work.

ok, i'm not a mac user myself so i have no experience on how to tackle hard crashes of the operating system on os x - maybe someone else with more expertise might step in & shed some light on it...
