slow data refresh rate
I use firefox as my browser and to operate my 3d printers web interface, on my local network
with firefox the data that the printers display is very slow to update, for example if i input a movement command of say 10mm firefox takes at least a few second to display the number that corresponds to the movement change, its definitely firefox as opening the very same machine and sending machine commands in any other browser does not result in a data lag.

Here are a few things you could try:
1)Clear the cache and cookies in Firefox: Sometimes, a buildup of cache and cookies can cause performance issues in Firefox. To clear your cache and cookies, click on the three horizontal lines in the top right corner of the Firefox window, select "Options" > "Privacy & Security," and then click "Clear Data" under "Cookies and Site Data" and "Cached Web Content." 2)Disable any add-ons or extensions that may be causing issues: Some add-ons or extensions in Firefox can cause performance issues, so try disabling them one by one to see if it improves the performance of the web interface for your 3D printer. 3)Try disabling hardware acceleration: Hardware acceleration is a feature in Firefox that uses your computer's graphics card to render web content faster. However, it can sometimes cause issues with certain web interfaces. To disable hardware acceleration, click on the three horizontal lines in the top right corner of the Firefox window, select "Options" > "General," scroll down to "Performance," and uncheck the box next to "Use recommended performance settings." Then, uncheck the box next to "Use hardware acceleration when available." 4)Update Firefox to the latest version: It's possible that a bug in an older version of Firefox could be causing the slow updating of data in the web interface for your 3D printer. Make sure you have the latest version of Firefox installed by clicking on the three horizontal lines in the top right corner of the Firefox window, selecting "Help" > "About Firefox," and then clicking "Check for Updates."
Sadly i have already carried out all of those things BEFORE requesting help, the internet and computers in general are not my first rodeo.
Asking for assistance on any internet page is always a LAST resort for me...
I suppose the simplest cure is to just jettison Firefox.

It could be that Firefox tries to do a DNS lookup on internet instead of directly open it as a local page. Some prefs on about:config you can look at:
- network.trr.excluded-domains
- browser.fixup.dns_first_for_single_words
