I have an issue with programs that change my settings without my permission. Every now and then the print dialog screen is changed and I have to go to about:config and reset the "print_tab modal to "false", I think. I say that because neither setting fixes the problem.

Any Ideas?

I realize that misery loves company, but why is a link with a group of people with the same problem considered a solution. Maybe duckduckgo is a solution.

Sorry for the inconvenience, my purpose of providing the above link was that it had a detailed discussion by some top contributor's to Mozilla and I thought you would find detailed information regarding the issue there only. Nevertheless I have to mention we all are volunteer's who give our time to this project and try to help the community in day to day issues they face, we are not involved with any changes or developments.
