FVD Speed Dial got disabled by Mozilla because they violated the AMO policy rules about data collection (they are intercepting search queries send to a third-party search provider).

Hi
In 2020, we became aware that the developer of the FVD add-on had begun intercepting search queries that were being sent to a third-party search provider, in clear violation of the Mozilla Add-ons Policies. After a repeated violation we again explicitly told them under which circumstances this type of data collection is not acceptable. At the time, the developer disabled the feature, and we continued to host FVD Speed Dial.
Recently we have become aware that the developer has re-enabled the offending functionality, which remains in violation of AMO policy. In light of these repeated offenses, we have blocked this addon.
While we regret the impact that this has had on some of our users, we believe that our commitments to user safety and the importance of user trust in Firefox and its surrounding ecosystem have obligated us to take this action, and we stand by this decision.
How bloody rude to just disable FVD Speed Dial as you have with no warning to users, I am a user and had 100s, if not 1000s of bookmarks in it and it was the most useful speed dial I have ever sued, simple uncomplicated. The MAJOR issue I have now is they unable to be retrieved to even do something else with them. Sorry but that is just plain inconsiderate and uncaring. I am sure there will be plenty of us not at all impressed. What the hell were you thinking to just do it with no advise to your users to allow us to at least save them for reference in other ways. I understand what you did and why with your explanation but surely you could have advised the users, rather than penalise and punish them for no fault of ours!!!!! Please advise a work around so we can at least access and save them elsewhere. I am furious to be honest, been firefox user for so long can't recall (at least 10 years) unbelievable...
