Google search does not work in firefox when i am logged in
Hello everyone, I have a problem, when I am logged in with my google account and I try to search on c# the first search is successful, from the second search everything after the # is deleted and it is searched only the letter c. I am using Firefox and this thing started yesterday. What may have happened? I also tried to uninstall Firefox and reinstall it but it doesn't work.
Example: first search is c# middleware and it works second search is c# cookie middleware, it delete all and search only c char

If there is still a problem,
Start Firefox using Troubleshoot(Safe) Mode {web link}
A small dialog should appear. Click Start In Troubleshoot(Safe) Mode (not Refresh). Is the problem still there?
While you are in Troubleshoot(Safe) mode;
Try disabling graphics hardware acceleration in Firefox. Since this feature was added to Firefox it has gradually improved but there are still a few glitches.

When the # is properly encoded, the search works, but if it isn't encoded, then the search will be cut off at that point because the # is the symbol that indicates a hash value instead of part of a query string. In other words:
Good: https://www.google.com/search?q=c%23+middleware+cookie
Bad: https://www.google.com/search?q=c#+middleware+cookie
Are you editing your search in the search box on the Google results page, or in the address bar, or in a Firefox search bar?
And your question mentions being logged in -- it works normally if you are logged out/incognito?
Hi, first of all thanks for the replies. Even deleting firefox, cookies and using the Troubleshoot(Safe) Mode still does not work. To answer the other questions, I am modifying the search on the search bar of the google page, because if I do the search in the search bar at the top (toolbar) everything works correctly. If I am not logged in everything works correctly. The problem is that this only happens on firefox and not on other browsers.

I don't know what could cause it. When I use the # in the search bar on the Google home page or results page, Google properly encodes it before submitting it. I'm using the U.S. English, in case that makes any difference.
The problem is that at the first search the # is encoded correctly as %23 in the url bar, but at the second search the # symbol is displayed instead. I hope to be able to fix this bug, otherwise I am reluctantly forced to switch browsers
It's baffling because Google controls the URLs generated when you submit a search through its form. What could cause it to behave correctly sometimes and not others? Do you use any filtering software that intercepts your Firefox browsing and might modify it?
Also, did you ever clear your Firefox cache? How to clear the Firefox cache (just the Cached Web Content, not all of the Cookies and Site Data)
No, no programs that I know of. The only thing is that it only happens if I'm logged into google, otherwise everything works fine. Absurd
I cleaned the cache but it still doesn't work. But I also noticed another thing, this thing only happens if I am logged in with a specific account, while with another everything works correctly.
Do the accounts have any differences related to language preference or anything else that could conceivably affect character encoding??
Doing other tests I found the same problem also on other browsers, not only on firef, so the problem as you suggested is related to the specific google account. Too bad he didn't understand how to solve the problem anyway. Thanks
