Firefox keeps crashing - Windows 10
Hi everybody! Until I used Windows 7 Ultimate I had no problem using Firefox on my PC. I've been forced to use Windows 10 and I've apdated both my desktop and my Laptop at the same time (one hour difference) - both run almost exactly the same programs with the exactly same structure (name of software, names of files and/or directories, cookies, extensions etc etc). My Laptop (HP EliteBook) has no problem whatsoever, while on the desktop firefox keeps crashing whenever I sitch on an external HD, or I start a program, or often when I play chess. It crashes also when I'm watching an You Tube clip, and I change clip.... The only time that Firefox doesn't crash is when it is alone, no programs are running in the background, and I explore the internet using the same window, and not opening any links in a new window. I have an idea of what may be the cause but I'm looking for someone who has my same issues in order to check causes. I must admit that I'm fed up, and I'm seriuosly considering to switch to chrome after having used Firefox since it was born.... Thank you, Marko

In the address bar, type about:crashes<enter>. Note: If any reports do not have BP- in front of the numbers/letters, click it to submit them.
The crash report is several pages of data. We need the report numbers to see the whole report.
Using your mouse, mark the most recent 7 - 10 Submitted crash reports, and copy them. Now go to the reply box and paste them in.
Please, Do not post a screenshot ! !

Bug 1731377 Opened 3 days ago Crash in [@ asepkcs.dll | BaseThreadInitThunk]
This module seems to come from smart card readers used by certain public services in Italy. I couldn't find the installer even following links that were supposed to point at it. It might be that this DLL shipped with an older version of it.
Will immediately check my smart card reader (which I bought 4 years ago) together with my software/hardware supplier and see if it is possible to update that dll. I have to use the card reader with a card needed to access some public services. At worst, I will buy a new card reader with (hopefully) dll's that work in windows 10... As soon as I discover something will come back to the forum and let everybody know the results. In the meantime, thanks a lot!!! Marko.
Fred, I'm using Firefox v. 92.0 - I keep the browser automatically updated whenever some new version appears. Ciao, Marko
That is fine. But all software needs to be checked now and then for updates.
