there is a setting in FireFox that pertains to printing. I dont know what effect it has. However, if you click the clear button, it might solve your issue.

Why wont Firefox use the printer settings as they are set in Windows?

Firefox knows about some printer settings, but I'm sure it doesn't know about all of them. Which settings are the problem? For example, paper size, double-sided printing, etc.
