Please explain the problem in detail. What happens? What is/are the exact error message(s) ?

I do not receive an error message on my Dell inspirion, it takes a long time to load or when it does it's grayscale and nothing will work if I shutdown and turn the laptop computer back on it sometimes loads when it comes back on. I tried on a Lenovo it says it let me download it but I have to sign out of "S mode," I followed the prompts and it let me download then stopped working and must put me back in "S mode" but now won't swich out.

it could be that your windows 10 is downloading updates or is unable to install updates. There are a number of reasons for this. But there are other reasons that would/could slow down win10 too. It's hard to pinpoint the exact cause of your issue(s) with the o.s.

However, if you press the WinKey+I the pc settings section should open up. From there you can execute the Troubleshooting feature as well as the Windows Update Feature. In both, you can see the operations in actions and gauge what they are doing or not doing.

FYI - I had an issue with Win10 update a couple of months ago. I finally had to download a little app by Microsoft for upgrading my Win 10, as the built in feature to update/upgrade was flawed.

Once i was able to update and upgrade Win10 to the latest version, the system as a whole stabliized and funtions well.
