why do comcast/xfinity replies from me sometimes get stripped of formats and graphics?
i always use https://connect.xfinity.com/appsuite/#!!&app=io.ox/mail&folder=default0/INBOX to manage my email. usually when i reply to messages the message and my reply can be formatted (fonts, bold, etc) and the graphics remain (left window on attached), but sometimes when i reply to messages the message and my reply get stripped of all formatting and graphics leaving me only a courier (monofont) text (right window). i called xfinity support and we accessed mail on MS edge with the same result (so it might be a general browser issue), but using win10's email app i could get formatting with both messages.

Hi ldecola, I would expect the reply editor to follow the same format as the original message: rich text/HTML for replies to messages you received in HTML format, and plain text for replies to messages you received in plain text format. I wouldn't expect the editor to switch the format, but it might provide an option for you to override it one way or the other.
Is it always the same correspondents that have this problem? In the old days, Microsoft Outlook's Address Book had a setting for each Contact to specify whether messages to that contact should use HTML, Rich Text, or Plain Text format. I'm not aware of any other system using such a setting, but you could check your Xfinity address book just in case.
