Why is my zoom changing on its own to 300% on some sites?

Recently I uninstalled and reinstalled Firefox. In the week since, certain (most) sites are opening at 300% and unless I go into the Menu settings to adjust the size back to 100%, I am unable to do on the web browser. How can I again set to 100% to be the definitive default for ALL web browsing? I've never experienced this before. Thank you!

You can rename (or delete) the content-prefs.sqlite file in the Firefox profile folder to reset the page zoom for all websites.

Type about:support<enter> in the address bar.

Under the page logo on the left side, you will see Application Basics. Under this find Profile Folder. To its right press the button Show Folder. This will open your file browser to the current Firefox profile. Now Close Firefox.

Locate the above file. Then rename or delete it. Restart Firefox.

If the above does not help;

Start Firefox in Safe Mode {web link} by holding down the <Shift> (Mac=Options) key, and then starting Firefox.

A small dialog should appear. Click Start In Safe Mode (not Refresh). Is the problem still there?
