It is impossible to access anything useful to my problem, the image shows what is like in every page, including preferences and add-on's pages, I would highly appreciate a solution asap since firefox is directly connected to my work. Hence I am currently writing this message through safari.

Unfortunately fullscreen didn't help, but I fixed it.

I opened 2 tabs and then dragged one outside the browser as if I was making another window. This new window didn't bug.

There I went on to add-ons (shift+command+a) and changed the Tab Center's preference "tabs on top" to a disabled state. No bugs anymore!

Thanks for the help Jscher :))))))

after some minutes firefox fixed itself up (i have no idea how, since I did nothing on the browser, just left it on), but when i quit and opened it again, the problem returned just like before.

It looks as though it is having a problem loading something. Having it fix itself could indicate that whatever it was waiting for finished loading, or the time allotted for loading expired. ??

Either way, at that point, are you able to open the Add-ons page and either adjust the TestPilot settings or disable the extension altogether? You could try either:

  • Command+Shift+a (Windows: Ctrl+Shift+a)
  • "3-bar" menu button (or Tools menu) > Add-ons

In the left column, click Extensions. Then find Test Pilot on the right side. If it has an Options button, that might be helpful, otherwise, try Disable.

So, I've been trying to make it reload again since, but so far it hasn't fixed itself up like before no matter how much I wait. I don't know if it's helpful, but I can still navigate to any site and they load, I just can't see them.

Is there a way to remotely delete the add-on, either with terminal or locating it in my folders... or something?

ps: I'll keep on trying to get that reload lucky moment, but it seems it was pure luck since the same page where it happened is now loading normally (the spinning thingy stops spinning...)

Try using Firefox's full screen view. That should hide the toolbar area while you work on the Add-ons page. There's a keyboard shortcut for switching into and out of full screen:

  • Mac: Command+Shift+f
  • Windows & Linux: F11
