I am a lightweight helper dimariebeck but try this. When you open options and get to the general page where you select what you want as your homepage. Use the BOOKMARK option. Of course have your desired homepage in bookmarks first, select it and then just X out of Firefox (close it with the X in the upper right) and see if it doesn't open the next time you start Firefox on the page you want. I just tried it and it works. Let me know .....

Note that not all removal programs will detect all malware, so you may need to run several or all of them.

After removal you may need to reset your home page and search, which you can do by running the add-on SearchReset.
