There are two forms of email display, I want the old one! There used to be a way to toggle between the different displays. Now I find myself in the wrong (new) display and find no way to go back to the old one that I have used for years as my preference.

How do I toggle out of this mess?

It's late Wednesday night. I'm quitting and going to bed!

What are you using for e-mail provider? What program are you using?

Is this a question about Thunderbird?

If that is the case then we can move the question over to Thunderbird support.

Thanks, but this is not about Thunderbird, which I never heard of.

I'm using Firefox for my email. I have a secondary display, but it not the one I want. There used to be a point in the upper right field that allowed exit from one to the other. Which I described as "toggle" back and forth. But having now wandered into the wrong display, I can't get back out again! Thus my plight!

Hi, if you are using webmail such as Gmail, Yahoo, Outlook or AOL etc., you will need to look at the settings on that site. In Yahoo mail for example, there is a gear button in the top right corner.

If your question is resolved by this or another answer, please take a minute to let us know. Thank you.

I'm using Firefox, so the webmail you list is not applicable to my case. But thanks for your input. It is appreciated.

Please provide a screenshot of your email page.

See this support article. How do I create a screenshot of my problem? It is best to use a compressed image type like PNG or JPG to save the screenshot and make sure that you do not exceed a maximum file size of 1 MB.

Then use the Browse .... button below the Post a Reply text box to upload the screenshot.

Firefox is a browser. We are asking for your e-mail provider.

Sorry, I'm 85, going on 86, and I'm not bright enough to know the answer to your question.

Wait.......Perhaps the answer is Earthlink ??

Sorry, I'm not computer competent to accomplish this.

Hi, EarthLink is likely to be your email provider, however it's based in the US and I'm in England so have no experience of it, but just a couple of possibilities to look at -

  • You may be in Full Screen Mode: Point to the top of the screen, then right click > Exit Full Screen Mode. You can also press the F11 key, but depending on the configuration of your computer, you may also need to hold down Fn at the same time. More - Use Firefox in Full Screen mode. The Full Screen button should also be in the 3-bar menu. More - Customize Firefox controls, buttons and toolbars.

If that doesn't solve it, here is the EarthLink Support Centre.

Hope that will help.
