When I open firefox 2 tabs automatically open
I have tried the answers previously given to other people who have the same problem, but it doesn't fix my issue. It is a very annoying issue.
Please help me to eliminate the 2nd tab that opens up when I open the firefox browser.

What exactly happens and what have you tried so far?
What are the tabs that open up when you open the Firefox?
It could be because of a malware.
The second tab you speak of, If it's an add, malware may be the cause. Or it might be one of the programs on your system that is really add-ware.
Start Firefox in Safe Mode {web link}
While you are in safe mode;
Type about:preferences<Enter> in the address bar
Select Advanced > General. Look for and turn off Use Hardware Acceleration.
Poke around safe web sites. Are there any problems?
Then restart.
Do a malware check with several malware scanning programs on the Windows computer. Please scan with all programs because each program detects different malware. All these programs have free versions.
Make sure that you update each program to get the latest version of their databases before doing a scan.
