can I get my bookmarks back from prior to a sync

I did a sync today, had it set to "merge" the book marks between my laptop and my phone. It did not "merge" them... it overwrote the bookmarks on my PC from ones on my phone... which were OLD. Now my bookmarks on my PC are incorrect. Is there anyway to get them back? This extremely annoying as that is how I manage all my accounts, login ids, passwords, etc!
