I am having a problem with the bookmarks dropdown menu - it flickers and it is hard to find the bookmark easily? What can be done to fix this?

When I click on the tabs like Bookmarks, Tools, Help, etc., the dropdown menu flickers and won't stay steady - it makes it very hard to find either the bookmark or option that I am trying to "click" on.

Start Firefox in Use Troubleshoot Mode in Firefox to check if one of the extensions is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).
