Thunderbird is just your agent. It is your email provider that is rejecting your password, and that could be for misconfiguration issues. Possibly, if if you post screenshots of your incoming and outgoing server settings panes, some ideas may be forthcoming. Thank you.

Please send a screenshot of any error message. I think you mean that you have to manually enter the password to connect to a server - but I'm not sure.

Easy fix is to edit your webmail account profile. Look for the Manage Secure Mail Key link, make a new key & use it as the password for Thunderbird. Problem solved!
