How did your bookmarks get on that new device?

Did you use Sync? Or did you Import an HTML backup of your bookmarks from other devices, or from other browsers?

I used the export and import function in FF.

I did it several times not having seen them appear on the bookmark tool bar. That accounts for the several copies that show up in the bookmark tab n the menu bar
