Failure to install Firefox Setup 16.0.1 exe successfully to run on Windows Vista Home Basic Service Pack 2
Dear Sir/Madam
The "Run as" program failed to launch successfully after I choose either option for "Current user" or "Run the program as the following user: Administrator".
No error message is being displayed to inform execution failure...
What is the issues for causing the failure ?
Look forward to your soonest reply, thanks !
Cheers... Victor

If you simply double-click the file does it run?
Nope, sir... after clicking the "Run as" program file, the display screen of the file simply disappeared from desktop of the windows screen & no sign of the program is running in the background even after 30mins wait later.
hello victor306cancer, try to disable firewall or other security software for a few moments then download a new copy of firefox from : http://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/all.html
then try to follow the suggestions to install firefox from: Install Firefox on Windows
if firefox correctly installed then don't forget to enable again your firewall or/and your other security software(anti-virus, anti-spyware).
thank you
Hi... ideato !!!
For your info, the security programs used in my laptop is Microsoft Security Essentials & Avira Free Antivirus.
Follow every steps strictly as per your advice to disable firewall & security before starting the Firefox installation... however, it stills fail or does not auto-exe to run the Firefox set-up wizard for guiding me through the installation of Firefox.
